Where does the money actually go?
Every dollar given to Hearth is allocated through a public ledger reviewed by the city's independent audit committee. Sixty-two cents of every dollar funds direct programming — festival stages, mural commissions, walking tour guides. Eighteen cents maintains the city's cultural infrastructure: the plaques, the signage, the archive. The remaining twenty cents covers operating costs. We publish the full breakdown every quarter at hearth.city/ledger, because vague promises are not how you earn a neighbor's trust.

What happened with last year's funds?
In 2025, Hearth raised $214,000 from 1,847 donors. That funded the Riverside Summer Festival (attendance: 12,400), restored the bronze plaques on seven cornerstone buildings, and commissioned six new murals including the Elm Street underpass piece that's been photographed over 4,000 times on social media. The Millbrook Family Bakery — open since 1972 — received a storefront restoration grant that kept their windows fogged and their cinnamon rolls on the counter for another year. We sent every donor a physical postcard of the mural they helped fund.

Can my business get recognized?
Yes — and recognition at Hearth means something more than a logo in a footer. Business sponsors are named on the physical structures they fund: the stage banner, the mural plaque, the tour program. Your name appears on hearth.city/sponsors with a direct link to your business. You're invited to the annual Cornerstone Dinner, where the city's longest-running business owners, the muralists, and the docents all share the same room. Sponsorship starts at $500 and scales with impact. We match every sponsor with the project that fits their story — a bakery doesn't sponsor a tech summit, they sponsor a neighborhood food walk.
